Conversations on Race, a community-wide conversation on integration using The New Metropolis as a catalyst for discussion

Join the conversation on Wednesday, May 18, at 7:30 pm at Congregation Beth El, 222 Irvington Avenue, South Orange, New Jersey. Conversations on Race: Who Are We Now is a dialogue about the benefits of intentional integration and the on-going challenges faced by the communities of South Orange and Maplewood, New Jersey.

Conversations on Race is a community-wide conversation on integration. The event will include a screening of The New Metropolis, followed by a panel discussion and roundtable dialogues among attendees. Andrea Torrice, the filmmaker, will take part in the community discussion.

The dialogue will focus on the benefits of intentional integration and the on-going challenges faced by a community 15 years into the process. The conversation will include municipal leaders and residents from neighboring towns as well as other organizations in the state with a commitment to regional equity in municipal and regional planning.
